Ministerial Advisory Council on Mental Health
The Ministerial Advisory Council on Mental Health was established by the Minister of Health in 2017. The Council will provide evidence-informed advice to the Minister of Health on current and emerging issues, challenges and opportunities that help improve the mental wellbeing of Canadians.
Careful consideration was given to establishing an Advisory Council with diverse membership that would contribute a wide-range of perspectives and advice on mental health. The Council is comprised of 18 individuals with expertise and/or lived experience in the field of mental health, including caregivers, researchers, advocacy groups, and health care professionals.
