How we collaborate
We intend to consult with many stakeholders as we develop the overall framework and individual pathways for each specific advanced therapeutic product (ATP). We need the expertise that only those involved in certain activities can provide. The ATP framework's success and that of any resulting tailored pathways hinges on collaborating and working together with diverse stakeholders.
Our goal is to consult with stakeholders, such as:
- clinicians and hospitals
- drug and device industry
- patient advocacy groups
- health product innovators
- health technology assessment bodies
- health innovation, health system and international partners
We will determine the best approach for collaboration based on the product and the stakeholders who need to be engaged. Examples from previous ATP candidates have included:
- holding workshops to provide, clarify, collect and share information
- establishing external reference groups to identify regulatory challenges and co-develop tailored requirements
We will explore additional collaboration methodologies as needed.
We will be transparent and engage stakeholders early and often.
