What you can do to help
You may see or receive marketing materials for a drug or medical device. You can help us identify and report any suspected illegal marketing by:
- reporting a complaint
- emailing us at drug-device-marketing@canada.ca
Your identity is protected in accordance with the Privacy Act.
The complaint process
Once you submit a complaint, we:
- send an acknowledgment letter with a reference number to you
- assess the complaint to confirm if the marketing materials at issue comply with the applicable laws
- prioritize and take appropriate action where non-compliance is found based on the type and degree of risk it may pose
- include information related to this complaint in the table of advertising incidents
We will contact you to:
- get more information, if necessary
- inform you of the outcome of the assessment and any actions that we took
