Lithium-ion batteries are found in many rechargeable household devices. If mishandled, they can overheat, catch fire and explode!
Reduce your fire risk:
- Handle with care. Do not modify or tamper with batteries.
- Don't use batteries if showing signs of damage like swelling or overheating.
- Charge away from soft surfaces and bedding to prevent overheating.
- Store your battery at room temperature.
- Check with your municipality on how to safely dispose of your batteries.
- If replacing a charger, check that the voltage (V) and current(A) are compatible with your device.
