Processing International Experience Canada (IEC) applications for applicants from Germany and Japan
The purpose of this Operational Bulletin is to provide information regarding processing International Experience Canada (IEC) applications for applicants from Germany and Japan following the closure of Canada’s visa offices in Berlin and Tokyo.
Effective immediately, the Visa and Immigration Sections of the Canadian Embassies in Berlin and Tokyo are closed to the public. Nonetheless, applicants applying to Canada’s IEC programs with Germany and Japan should continue to submit their applications to the Canadian Embassies in those countries. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade will continue to accept the processing fee and make the initial eligibility assessment prior to forwarding eligible applications to the appropriate visa office in Vienna (for Berlin) or Manila (for Tokyo) for final processing.
