December 4, 2018
The program delivery instructions (PDIs) on the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program have been updated with regard to recognized organizations designated by IEC to support Canadian and foreign national youth with youth mobility opportunities.
The updates to the PDIs are summarized as follows:
- Changes have been made to the background on the responsibilities of recognized organizations, particularly in how they now primarily support IEC’s youth mobility arrangements (YMAs) for Canadian and foreign national youth. Non-YMA support is now limited to pilots with specific countries.
- Profiles of 10 new recognized organizations have been created, with the selection of new organizations for a 3-year term (ending in October 2021), following a call-for-proposals process initiated in the summer of 2018. Conditions of participation, including work permit categories, age limits and program eligibility for countries other than YMA countries and territories, are outlined in each profile.
