The purpose of this update is to provide instructions on applicants who may be barred from applying for a pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) as a result of a PRRA bar. This update will cover the applicability of the PRRA bar, exemptions from the PRRA bar and how to calculate the bar. It also includes a list of countries whose nationals or former habitual residents have previously been, or are currently, exempt from the PRRA bar.
