Program delivery update: Temporary resident permit fee exemption R298(2)(a) – application at same time and place for a work or study permit

The program delivery instructions have been updated to clarify that the TRP fee exemption under paragraph 298(2)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) does not apply to temporary resident permit applications made inside Canada, when a work permit or study permit application is also submitted.

The program delivery instructions have been updated to further clarify the one-time fee exemption for temporary resident permits issued to certain foreign nationals who are inadmissible on criminality grounds.
