In these instructions, updates have been made to the procedures for officers related to
- how to process work permit applications if the applications for permanent residence are refused
- how to process temporary residence applications for family members in GCMS if migration offices receive an online application from dependants overseas and the open work permit has not yet been issued for the caregiver’s application for permanent residence
Additionally, the scenarios provided for overseas dependants of principal applicants who are in Canada have been updated.
