Nationals of Iran are exempt from the 12-month bar if their Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), Federal Court or previous pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) decision was made between December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025 inclusive. Nationals of Iran with a decision made after December 19, 2025 are subject to the 12-month bar.
