Program delivery update: Permanent resident travel documents (PRTDs)

The title of these instructions on Connexion has been updated to reflect the correct term in full.

The content on permanent resident (PR) cards and PR status has been reorganized with separate headlines on permanent resident travel documents (PRTDs) to make it easier for officers to find functional guidance, and minor updates have been added.

OP 10 has been deleted. A new letter template has been added to the T drive and replaces appendices A and B from OP 10 to notify clients of their appeal rights following a negative residency determination. Officers should note that the “Consent to decision on residency obligation and waiver of appeal rights resulting in loss of status under A46(1)(b)” (Appendix C in OP 10) has been deleted and must no longer be sent to clients. The guidelines on the issuance of PRTDs (OB 626) have expired.
