How to get a police certificate – Burkina Faso
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:
- permanent residence
- citizenship
- some temporary residence programs

How to apply
If you live in Burkina Faso
You must present your birth certificate and pay the fee of 500 Fcfa (including 200Fcfa stamp fees) at one of the following locations:

Non-citizens
You must present a residence certificate (issued by a municipal office in Burkina Faso or by your embassy) and pay the applicable fees of 500 Fcfa (including 200Fcfa stamp fees).
