How to get a police certificate - French Guiana
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:
- permanent residence
- citizenship
- some temporary residence programs

How to apply
If you’re a French citizen and you live in French Guiana
Apply online through France’s Ministry of Justice.
If you can’t apply online, you can apply in person or by mail (available in French only) to France’s Ministry of Justice (check Contact information for the complete address). You must bring/send your proof of identity.
If you were born in New Caledonia, Wallis or Futuna
You must send your application to the registry of the court of first instance where you were born (available in French only).
