How to Get a Police Certificate – Latvia
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.
Name of the document you need
Certificate of (non)-Criminal record
Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:
- permanent residence
- citizenship
- some temporary residence programs

How to apply
If you live in Latvia
Apply by email or post at the Information Centre of the Ministry of Interior (see Contact Information for complete address). Translation into English is also available at an additional cost.
If you live outside of Latvia
Apply at your nearest Latvian embassy or consulate.
