How to get a police certificate - Libya
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.
You do not have to provide a police certificate from Libya unless we ask for one.

How to get a police certificate
Name of document(s) to get: Certificate of Innocence (Chahadet Baraa in Arabic)
If you are a citizen of Libya
If you live in Libya:
You must apply in person at your local police station.
If you live outside of Libya:
Certificates are not available for former residents. If you no longer live in Libya, you are not required to provide a Libyan police certificate. If you are asked for a police certificate from Libya, write: “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Libya because certificates are not available to former residents.”
