How to obtain a police certificate - Mongolia

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

How to get a Police Certificate:

If you are a citizen of Mongolia:

If you live in Mongolia:

You can apply at your local police authority

If you live outside of Mongolia:

You can nominate a representative to act on your behalf in Mongolia. To nominate a representative, you must give the person specific written authorization and your original Mongolian identification card. The person acting on your behalf must then present the documents to the local police authorities.

Special notes and considerations:

The original police certificate must be submitted along with your application for permanent residence, and must be accompanied by an English or French translation prepared by an accredited translator
