How to get a police certificate – South Sudan
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.
You do not have to provide a police certificate from South Sudan unless we ask for one.

How to get a police certificate:
Name of document(s) to get: Certificate of Good Conduct
If you are a citizen of South Sudan:
If you live in South Sudan:
You should apply in person to the South Sudan National Police Service, Headquarters-Juba (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Your original identity card and passport
- Two passport size photographs
- A letter of introduction explaining why the police certificate is being requested (i.e. for immigration purposes)
- Must allow your fingerprints to be recorded on a prescribed form
- Applicable fees
If you live outside of South Sudan:
You must go to your nearest South Sudan Embassy for a recommendation letter. Embassies abroad do not issue Certificates of Good Conduct.
