Diplomatic or official visitor visa applications
Please note that no fee is required if the trip is official travel.
What to submit with your application
All applicants will need to fill out the application for a visitor visa. In the circumstances listed below, additional documents are also required.
Citizens with diplomatic or official passports:
- Visa application form (IMM 5257),
- Two recent passport photographs,
- Diplomatic or official passport,
- Note Verbale (Diplomatic note) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or from another official governmental organisation, indicating position, reason and duration of the trip, if the trip is private or official, itinerary of trip with dates.
Non-citizens with diplomatic or official passports:
- Visa application form (IMM 5257),
- Two recent passport photographs,
- Diplomatic or official passport,
- Diplomatic or official visa in the country of residence,
- Diplomatic note from the Diplomatic Mission or International Organization, indicating position, reason and duration of the trip, if the trip is private or official, itinerary of trip with dates, and if the diplomat/officer returns or not to the country of residence.
Citizens with Laissez-Passer of an International Organization:
- Visa application form (IMM 5257),
- Family Information Form (IMM 5645),
- Two recent passport photographs,
- Laissez-Passer,
- Diplomatic or official visa in the country of residence,
- Diplomatic note from the International Organization, indicating position, reason and duration of the trip, if the trip is private or official, itinerary of trip with dates, and if officer returns or not to the country of residence.
