Some members may also work on integrated assessments. These are conducted jointly with lifecycle regulators such as with the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) or the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

CER and CNSC Roster for Impact Assessments

For integrated assessments with the CER or the CNSC, the review panel must include either an eligible commissioner from the CER or an eligible member of the CNSC.

The Minister consults with the Minister of Natural Resources to select people for these rosters. Selection is based on knowledge or experience relevant to a project’s potential effects or knowledge of Indigenous peoples’ interests and concerns.
