Please be advised that the Honourable Rebecca Chartrand, Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, the Honourable Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, Ginette Lavack, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, Government of Yukon Premier Currie Dixon, and Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief Math’ieya Alatini will attend the Yukon Intergovernmental Forum.
Today, the Honourable Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Brendan Hanley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs, on behalf of the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, announced more than $13 million from the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) and the Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) for 23 projects across Northern and Western Canada.
The Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) is part of the Government of Canada’s efforts to help communities rapidly respond to emerging, critical needs related to the illegal drug crisis. The Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) provides critical support to a range of innovative and time-limited community-based projects that emphasise supports towards treatment and recovery, as well as prevention and harm reduction.
