Foreign Minister condemns terrorist bombings in Afghanistan

The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement: "I was outraged to learn of a series of brazen terrorist bombings across Afghanistan yesterday that took the lives of more than 50 people and injured many more. Among those killed were five diplomats of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), as well as the Deputy Governor of the province of Kandahar. The Ambassador of the U.A.E., the Governor of Kandahar, Afghan parliamentarians and many Afghan civilians are among the injured.
