On September 17, 2015, David Robert Hagen, an inmate from the medium security unit at Joyceville Institution was found unresponsive in his cell. Staff members immediately began performing CPR and emergency services were called. The inmate could not be resuscitated.
At a ceremony that took place today at Rideau Hall, Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) employees received a Public Service Award of Excellence. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) today announced the prescribed annual interest rates that will apply to any amounts owed to the CRA and to any amounts the CRA owes to individuals and corporations. These rates will be in effect from October 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015.
