Our Office has been closely monitoring the progress that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has been making in the 100-day plan, which it was directed to put in place by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue. Yesterday marked the halfway point for this plan, and that same day the Office of the Auditor General released its report on the CRA’s contact centres.
Today Health Canada issued the following statement: The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) has significantly improved affordability and access to dental care for millions of Canadians across the country. We are committed to ensuring that publicly funded programs such as the CDCP are administered with integrity, in accordance with the eligibility criteria and with responsible stewardship of public funds.
Canadians deserve timely, reliable, and accurate service from the CRA, and that’s why we thank the Auditor General and their office for their important work on this report.
