Through the new Canada Public Transit Fund (CPTF), the federal government is investing more than $189 million, allocated over ten years beginning in 2026. This annual public transit funding will support 33 transit systems being serviced by BC Transit. Long-term, predictable funding will upgrade, replace, or modernize public transit infrastructure for 33 transit systems serviced by BC Transit, and maintain them in a state of good repair.
