Last month, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, announced Canada as host nation for the first-ever winter hybrid Invictus Games. Today, the Governments of Canada and British Columbia committed $15 million each, in support of the Invictus Games Vancouver-Whistler 2025.

Today, at the Invictus Games closing ceremonies in The Hague, Netherlands, Harry, Duke of Sussex, announced that the Invictus Games 2025 will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia.


Minister MacAulay to visit St. Julien Canadian Memorial

St. Julien, Belgium – The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, along with Alain Gendron, Ambassador of Canada to Belgium, and Dominique Cool, Mayor of Langemark-Poelkapelle, will tour the newly restored site of the St. Julien Canadian Memorial and lay a wreath on behalf of the Government of Canada.

Ottawa, ON – The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, and the Honourable Mona Fortier, President of the Treasury Board will join Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser, and Algonquin Elder Albert Dumont, in a ceremony to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
