September 16, 2015 Québec, Quebec – The Listuguj Mi'gmaq community in the Gaspé Peninsula will carry out its food, social and ceremonial lobster fishing in Chaleur Bay between September 20 and October 10, 2015. This fishery, protected under section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, which recognizes and confirms the ancestral and treaty rights of the aboriginal peoples of Canada, is authorized under an agreement between the Mi'gmaq community and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has signed international arrangements to cooperate and exchange nuclear regulatory information with India's Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority and the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate. In addition, the CNSC agreed with the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety of France to extend, for another five years, the bilateral memorandum of understanding for cooperation and exchange of information on nuclear regulatory matters.
