The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, issued a statement regarding the case of Hiva Mohammad Alizadeh, who pleaded guilty today to making or having in his possession an explosive substance with intent to endanger life or cause serious damage to property, for the benefit of a terrorist group. Mr. Alizadeh has been sentenced to 24 years in federal prison.
