The Honourable Candice Bergen, Minister of State (Social Development), today attended and spoke at the ninth annual graduation ceremony of the Neeginan College of Applied Technology. In her remarks, Minister Bergen noted that many students were unable to attend because they were already employed and working at the time, a clear measure of the success of the program.

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, will be guest speaker at the annual convention of the Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ). The topics of discussion will include the efforts the Government of Canada has made to support the development of this industry, among others, in its equipment acquisition and trail upgrade projects.
The Queen's University community, as well as visitors and residents of the City of Kingston and the surrounding communities in Eastern Ontario, will now benefit from the new Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts at Queen's University. The Centre is home to the University's Department of Film and Media and will provide teaching, performance and exhibition spaces for the School of Music, the Department of Drama and the Bachelor of Fine Art Program.
Media are invited to a photo opportunity with the Honourable Rob Nicholson, Minister of National Defence and Lieutenant-General Yvan Blondin, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, for the unveiling of the new Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) uniform at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum during the Battle of Britain parade.
