Canada, Ontario and the HELP Clean Water Regional Partnership Celebrate Milestone in Clean Water Initiative for Southwestern Ontario Residents

Today, the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Regional Minister for Southwestern Ontario, was joined by Joe Preston, Member of Parliament for Elgin-Middlesex-London, the Honourable Deb Matthews, Deputy Premier, Minister Responsible for the Poverty Reduction Strategy, President of the Treasury Board of Ontario and Member of Provincial Parliament for London-North-Centre, and Mark Cosens, Chair of the Elgin Area Joint Board of Management, to celebrate three major milestones in the Huron Elgin London Project for Clean Water (HELP Clean Water) initiative in Central Elgin, Ontario. Minister Finley was representing her colleague the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec.


Beauce Region to receive more than $48 million for priority infrastructure projects

The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture) and Member of Parliament for Beauce, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Denis Lebel, Pierre Moreau, Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, and Robert Dutil, Member of Parliament for Beauce-Sud, are pleased to announce that the municipalities of the provincial electoral districts of Beauce-Nord and Beauce-Sud will receive $48,294,483 over the next five years under the new federal-provincial Gas Tax Fund agreement and from the Government of Quebec's contribution for the completion of priority infrastructure projects. More precisely, municipalities in Beauce-Nord will receive $22,141,880, while municipalities in Beauce-Sud will receive $26,152,603.
