Today, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, commended a joint investigation by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), which led to a deportation order for Jahanzeb Malik. Mr. Malik was arrested by CBSA three months ago due to his involvement in an alleged terrorist plot to bomb locations in downtown Toronto.

The Government of Canada has issued a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit bids to establish up to three separate contracts to tackle persistent social problems.
