The growing communities of Paradise and Conception Bay South (CBS) are proceeding with plans to upgrade their community infrastructure to better meet the needs of residents and local businesses. Thanks in part to support from the Government of Canada, through ACOA, each community will soon be able to operate their arenas as year-round multipurpose facilities and open their doors to hosting a wider range of events.

Senator Fabian Manning, on behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, announced today that the Government of Canada will invest in major improvement projects at small craft harbours in Newfoundland and Labrador. This funding will provide a safer and more efficient working environment for fishermen and harbour users across the province.
