Ottawa, December 9, 2008 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring a Food Safety Authority of Ireland recall of all Irish (Republic) pork products produced from pigs slaughtered in Ireland, due to the presence of dioxins from PCBs. Canada has no record of receiving direct shipments of pork, pork products or feed from Ireland.

The TSB will release its final investigation report into the accident that occured northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on August 11, 2007 involving a hot air balloon operated by Sundance Balloons International Inc.
