Starting and running a business in the city of St. Catharines just became easier thanks to BizPaL, a new online business permit and licence service that saves time spent on paperwork and helps entrepreneurs start up faster.
CALGARY - The Government of Canada and the City of Calgary today announced that, as part of the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative (APGCI), the federal government will provide up to $34.5 million to widen 52nd Street SE in Calgary from 114th Avenue to 130th Avenue SE from two to four lanes, and from 90th Avenue to 106th Avenue SE, from two to six lanes. The work also includes the construction of a grade separation at the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) rail line and the Western Headwaters Canal; intersection improvements; and storm water upgrades

On April 24, 2008, Albion Fisheries Ltd. entered a guilty plea at the Provincial Court, in Vancouver, B.C. to one count of violating s6(2.2) of the Fish Inspection Regulations. The company was fined $2000 for the unlawful movement of a shipment of crab meat imported into Canada.
