Speaking at a luncheon conference hosted by the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Magog-Orford, the Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of Canada Economic Development, today presented the highlights of the newly-announced second and third components of his Agency's Strategic Plan for 2008-2011. With respective budgets of $86 million and $32 million over three years, these two components will serve to support Quebec's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their efforts to raise productivity and improve their performance in the area of innovation. The financial leverage generated by these measures is expected to result in some $622 million in investments in the Quebec economy.
