The Government of Canada and the Province of Manitoba are supporting the City of Steinbach as it works to complete its Industrial Park. Through the Canada-Manitoba Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (MRIF), $1 million in joint funding from the federal and provincial governments will be used to fully develop the industrial park, which will ensure that the robust economic activity of Steinbach and the south-eastern region of Manitoba will continue.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to cashews not to consume the Berni brand Pesto products described below. The label of the affected products declares cashews with a French term 'anacardes' that is not commonly recognized in Canada.
