Mr. Stannard joined the Commission as a part-time Commission Member in September 2007. He was named Interim Chairperson in December 2009 and appointed Chairperson in June 2010.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) today announced that four air duct cleaning companies paid a total of $55,000 as part of a settlement following violations to the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules. The CRTC also issued notices of violation accompanied by monetary penalties totalling $94,000 to five other air duct cleaning companies. Notices of violation and warning letters were also sent to seven foreign call centres.
On March 22, 2015, at about 0540 a.m., correctional officers at Matsqui Institution, a medium security federal institution, intercepted a person who was attempting to bring contraband into the institution.

Public Works and Government Services Canada wishes to advise motorists of periodic lane reductions on the Chaudière Crossing from Thursday, March 26, to Sunday, March 29, 2015. These reductions will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays and between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends. They will affect the Gatineau- and Ottawa-bound lanes. Traffic will be permitted in both directions. One northbound and one southbound lane will remain open at all times.
According to the World Health Organization, tuberculosis is second only to HIV/AIDS as the greatest infectious killer worldwide. Women and children are at particular risk. Tuberculosis is one of the top killers of women of reproductive age. In 2013, more than half a million children became ill with this disease, yet, fewer than half of them received treatment due to the limitations of diagnostic tools. Thanks to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's leadership on maternal, newborn and child health, Canada is helping to change that.
