Lytton Homeowner Resilient Rebuild Program-Funding overview
Accepting applications until March 31, 2026, or until program funds are fully committed.
1. Funding overview
Eligible homeowners can apply for a grant to rebuild a home that is:
- fire-resilient;
- fire-resilient and Net Zero; or
- fire-resilient and Net Zero Ready
All funding is paid in grants directly to you (the homeowner) after your builder attests that you have achieved agreed-upon outcomes (such as completing your build).
Fire-resilient homes
Funding:- $27,000 paid when construction is complete
- Non-repayable
Fire-resilient and Net Zero homes
Funding:- $24 per square foot based on the size of your original home at the time of the fire paid when construction is complete; plus
- $77,000 for the following:
- Design: $5,000 paid when the design phase is complete
- Net Zero: $45,000 paid in 2 installments (30% at mid-build and 70% when construction is complete)
- Fire-resilience: $27,000 paid when construction is complete
- Non-repayable
Fire-resilient and Net Zero Ready homes
Funding:- $24 per square foot based on the size of your original home at the time of the fire paid when construction is complete; plus
- $44,500 for the following:
- Design: $5,000 paid when the design phase is complete
- Net Zero Ready: $12,500 paid in 2 installments (30% at mid-build and 70% when construction is complete)
- Fire-resilience: $27,000 paid when construction is complete
- Non-repayable
Building Net Zero or Net Zero Ready homes requires working with certified professionals from the design stage through construction. Total funding takes local costs into consideration.
