Lytton programs

Helping Lytton rebuild homes and businesses

On June 30, 2021, devastating wildfires tore through the Village of Lytton causing tragic loss of life and catastrophic damage to the community’s homes, businesses, and infrastructure. As Lytton rebuilds, PacifiCan, the federal regional development agency for British Columbians, will support the community with two programs for homeowners and businesses.

PacifiCan Lytton programs

Alongside initiatives of other federal departments, PacifiCan will offer two programs to support the Lytton rebuild:

The Lytton Homeowner Resilient Rebuild Program to support homeowners who wish to rebuild their home to fire-resilient and Net Zero standards.

This program will begin accepting applications on May 31. Please check back then for more information.

The Lytton Business Restart Program to help small- and medium-sized businesses re-establish in the community. This funding will include support for Indigenous businesses and those operated by women, youth, and other underrepresented groups.

This program will launch in summer 2023.
