3. How to apply
To apply for funding through the Regional Innovation Ecosystems (RIE) program:
- review the eligibility requirements
- review the applicant guide (PDF, 529 kB)
- complete the Project cost detailing sheet (XLSX, 46 kB)
- contact us with any questions
- submit your application and supporting documents through our online application portal
- When you create a submission, be sure to select BC (PacifiCan) - Regional Innovation Ecosystems (RIE)
Applications must include:
- a completed application submitted in the portal
- a detailed project cost breakdown entered in the RIE Project cost detailing sheet
- externally reviewed financial statements for at least 2 complete years
- a listing of project funding from all non-PacifiCan sources; for each source confirmed at time of application, evidence of confirmed funding should be included (non-PacifiCan funding should be at least 50% of project costs)
PacifiCan may consider applications submitted under one program for suitability and potential funding under other PacifiCan programs, subject to eligibility requirements and available funding. You will be contacted if this is the case.
Information provided by applicants may be shared with other federal departments and agencies, provincial/territorial governments, and/or municipal governments, for the purpose of reviewing projects and determining eligibility for other Government of Canada programs.
