Before you apply
Before you apply, decide which stream you're applying to. Answer these questions to decide which one is the most appropriate for your project.
Scale up stream
- Does your project aim to deliver an existing health promotion intervention to prevent youth dating violence?
- Has the intervention that you are proposing to scale up been rigorously evaluated?
- Does your project aim to:
- reach a new youth population?
- adapt a new delivery mechanism?
- deliver the intervention in a new location?
- Does your organization or its collaborators have the capacity to do intervention research to evaluate the scale up?
Key populations stream
- Will your project adapt, deliver, and test an existing intervention that supports key populations who are underserved and at-risk of experiencing youth dating violence?
- Will you be testing the adaptation through intervention research to measure its effectiveness in preventing youth dating violence?
- Does your organization or its collaborators have the capacity to do intervention research to evaluate the adaptation?
- Does your organization or its collaborators have experience working with one or more of the underserved or at-risk populations identified for the purpose of this call for proposals?
Indigenous stream
- Will your project develop or adapt, deliver, and test a culturally appropriate youth dating violence prevention intervention for Indigenous youth?
- Will you be testing the intervention through intervention research to measure its effectiveness in preventing youth dating violence?
- Does your organization or its collaborators have the capacity to do intervention research to evaluate the intervention?
- Are you an Indigenous organization based in Canada?

To apply for this funding opportunity, you must have requested the application template by August 10, 2023.
The deadline for this application has been extended. You must submit your application by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on September 28, 2023, using our application template.
The yearly budget for this call for proposals is $4.5 million, which equals a total budget of $22.5 million over 5 years.
We anticipate funding up to 20 projects through this call for proposals.
Reminders
Applicants outside of Quebec should plan a start date of April 1, 2024.
Applicants from the province of Quebec that are subject to the Act Respecting the Ministère du Conseil exécutif (Act M-30) should plan a start date of July 1, 2024.
Projects can last for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years.
The lead contact for the proposed project can apply to only 1 stream of the call for proposals and can submit only 1 application to this call for proposals.
