Epidemiological summary:
During epidemiological week 12, 2018 no new confirmed cases of measles were reported in Canada1. To date in 2018, a total of four cases have been reported, all imported from India. No secondary cases have resulted from these importations.
It has been 108 epidemiological weeks since the last rubella case was reported and one epidemiological week since the last measles case.

In 2018, four cases of measles have been genotyped and the genotypes were D8 (n= 4) (Figure 3).
Cumulatively, there have been 4 genotype D8 viruses imported from India in 2018, all with distinct measles N450 sequences.
