Epidemiological weeks for laboratory specimens submitted to the National Microbiology Laboratory are assigned and reported in accordance with WHO guidelines (WHO.WER.2012;9(87):73) with week 1 beginning on the first Monday of the year, which for 2020 is January 6. However, for the purposes of this report, the genotype data is presented in accordance with PAHO reporting weeks with week 1 of 2020 beginning on December 29, 2019.
