Epidemiological Summary

During epidemiological week 8, 2016, no new cases of measles or rubella were reportedFootnote 1. It has been 5 epidemiological weeks since the last reported measles case (week 03, 2016), and 103 weeks since the last reported rubella case (week 10, 2014).

A previously reported case of congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) (week 50, 2015) that is still being actively followed, was confirmed to be an importation due to travel in India.

The year-to-date total is 2 cases of measles and 0 cases of rubella for 2016 (Figure 1).
