Yellow Fever Vaccine Shortage in Canada
There is currently a temporary shortage of yellow fever vaccine in Canada. Please contact the designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres in your area to confirm supply status, as availability may differ between locations.
Effective March 27, 2026, the Committee to Advise on Tropical Medicine and Travel (CATMAT) has reinstated the Interim Canadian recommendations for the use of fractional dose of yellow fever vaccine. This guidance is intended to extend the current vaccine supply during this shortage period.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres are designated by the Public Health Agency of Canada, on behalf of Canada, in order to meet the requirements of the International Health Regulations.
A Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre is a health care site:
- where the Canadian public can receive the yellow fever vaccine;
- that provides the public with the required International Health Regulations documentation to be presented at a country border, if vaccination against yellow fever is a country entry requirement
- that ensures the quality and safety in the procedures and materials employed.

These health care sites may also provide additional travel health services.
