LHHR 15-08: Launch of two New Political Activities Tools
Note: The following message was sent to deputy heads on June 30, 2015.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has produced two new tools to help your employees learn about their legal rights and responsibilities related to political activities: a video entitled “Political Activities: Make an Informed Decision!” and an on-line quiz entitled “Political Activities Myth Busters”.
These new tools are part of the PSC’s Suite of Political Activities Tools to help federal public service employees make informed decisions regarding their participation in political activities.
I invite you to encourage your Designated Political Activities Representative and your Communications branch to work together and share these new tools with employees. Web buttons and other products will be provided directly to them. You may, for example:
- Share the attached message via your internal newsletter;
- Add a hyperlink to your intranet site; and/or
- Display the video on your organization’s television monitors or during staff meetings and orientation sessions.
