List of changes to online staffing

Internal job advertisements and notifications (Publiservice) are moving to jobs.gc.ca.

See below for what’s new as of April 1st!

Government of Canada (GC) employees

  • A jobs.gc.ca account will allow you to search internal job advertisements and notifications
  • After logging in once from a computer on the GC network, you will be able to access and apply to internal jobs from anywhere
  • The jobs.gc.ca job search will have a new look
  • You will be able to save a customized job search
  • You will be able to sign up for a new e-mail alert
  • A new archive search function on jobs.gc.ca will allow you to find closed advertisements and notifications

To prepare

  • Create a jobs.gc.ca account or update your existing account
  • Copy your resume from Publiservice and paste it into your jobs.gc.ca account by March 31st. (As of April 1st your resume will no longer be available on Publiservice.)

Human resources professionals

Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS)

  • All internal job advertisements and notifications will be created through the PSRS and will be posted on jobs.gc.ca
  • The look of advertisements and notifications will be streamlined
  • Creating advertisements in the PSRS will be simpler
  • Unsupervised Internet testing and screening tools can be used for internally advertised processes
  • A new archive search function on jobs.gc.ca will allow you to find closed advertisements and notifications

Priority Information Management System (PIMS)

  • If you have existing access to the PIMS, you will be able to access it through a link in the main menu of your PSRS administrator account

Staffing Letter Builder Tool (SLBT)

  • SLBT will be accessible through a link in the main menu of your PSRS administrator account; however, you will still require a Single Sign-On (SSO) account to log in to the SLBT
