New Guide on Employment Systems Review (22-02)

Dear colleagues,

The Public Service Commission of Canada and the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer are pleased to share this new guide on employment systems review.

An employment systems review is a comprehensive assessment of an organization’s policies and practices to identify systemic and attitudinal barriers to employment opportunities for designated employment equity group members.  The principles of the review can also be used to develop your methodology for identifying obstacles affecting any other equity-seeking group.

We hope that the guide will help you implement the Audit of Employment Equity Representation in Recruitment recommendation to review your staffing framework and practices to ensure barrier-free appointment processes for all employment equity groups.

The guide will continue to be updated based on your comments. To provide feedback, please send your comments to cfp.dep-pdd.psc@cfp-psc.gc.ca.

You may also reach out to your staffing support advisor to discuss specific questions and situations.
