Bilingual Positions in the Federal Public Service
Canada's two official languages are English and French. The Public Service of Canada has designated some positions as bilingual so that the Canadian population can be served in their official language of choice, and that, in bilingual regions, the work environment is conducive to the use of both official languages. The Public Service Commission supports departments and agencies in staffing these positions.
