About the Registered Plan Administrator Account

The Registered Plan Administrator Account allows registered plan owners and their representatives to manage their registered plans with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in their CRA account.

Transactions in the Registered Plan Administrator Account are processed and displayed immediately.

To access registered plan accounts that are administered by Revenu Québec, go to Revenu Québec's website.

Who can use the Registered Plan Administrator Account

Registered plan owners and their representatives can access their registered plan accounts through the Registered Plan Administrator Account. Authorized representatives, such as accountants and employees, can access these accounts on behalf of registered plan owners through Represent a Client in their CRA account.

How to access the Registered Plan Administrator Account

To access your Registered Plan Administrator Account for the first time, you must have a registered plan number.

For information on how to get a registered plan number, refer to Filing savings and pension plan information with the CRA.

Once you have your registered plan number:

  1. Sign in to your CRA account
  2. From the Welcome page, select Add account
  3. Select Registered plan administrator account
  4. Enter your business number (BN) and your registered plan number
  5. Select Add
  6. After getting your confirmation, return to the Welcome page and select your Registered plan administrator account to access your information
