Cost of living increases: Each January, April, July, and October pension amounts are increased to reflect any increases in the cost of living. Pension amounts do not decrease if the cost of living goes down.

Increased OAS pension at age 75

You will get an automatic 10% increase of your OAS pension the month following your 75th birthday.

This 10% increase will not affect your Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) payment amount.

Recovery tax for income over $90,997

If your net income is over $90,997 (2024), you may need to repay part or all your OAS pension. Learn more about the OAS recovery tax.
